Milligans Bakery is a well-known family business around the North of England founded in 1946. The family sold off the majority of their business along with the main bakery, however, the new owner of the business was unsuccessful in maintaining the prominence that the Milligan family had spent years building.

Louise Milligan spent many years working in the foodservice industry for international organisations, building on her knowledge and experience. She rejoined her father in the family business 2012 with only 3 sites remaining, then took over control in 2013.

Louise has been utilising her business knowledge to restructure the business, both financially and operationally, rebranding some sites to CafeM.

Complete Leasing Solutions met with Louise in early 2014 as she was opening a new site in Newcastle City Centre. We were able to help fund all of her catering equipment, along with the bespoke shop fitting, air-conditioning, coffee equipment, and even signage.

Since this time we have also assisted CafeM with other requirements for the business including a mobile café/van, and hope to continue to assist their growth.

As well as the four Cafe M sites there are also three Express Café’s and three very successful local bakery shops in the North East of England at Newcastle Haymarket metro station, Wallsend, Stockton, Sunderland’s train station and Middlesbrough’s bus station.
